Silversmithing, Investment Casting

Silversmithing
A collection of sterling silver pieces created for the "Silversmithing and Design" class at Stanford.
SCROLL
THE MISSION

For the class "Silversmithing and Design" (ME298) at Stanford, I had the opportunity to design and manufacture jewelry in precious metals (primarily sterling silver) using traditional investment (or lost wax) casting and piercing techniques. For each cast piece, the process included initial design, hand carving machinable wax, casting (sprueing, investing and casting), and finishing.
