With access to CNC mills, I wanted to create a product with an organic form that couldn't be created manually. I ultimately settled on a citrus juicer as its simple form offers a unique opportunity for radical form exploration. After sketching dozens of different potential forms, I chose the above design. This product was largely inspired by Philippe Starck’s “Juicy Salif” and his effort to transform an ordinary kitchen tool into an aesthetically pleasing artifact.
